Royal Mencap CEO, Jon Sparkes visits the Frimley Centre!

We were pleased to welcome Jon Sparkes, CEO of Royal Mencap, to visit Hastings and Bexhill Mencap and spend time at our day services here at the Frimley Centre. As the national charity for people with a learning disability, Royal Mencap supports and represents a network of local Mencap organisations across England, including our own.

Jon’s visit was a valuable opportunity to showcase our local services, share learning, and talk openly about the challenges and opportunities facing community-based support. It also reinforced the important link between our local work and the wider Mencap movement, ensuring the voices and experiences of the people we support continue to shape national understanding and advocacy.

It goes without saying Jon was blown away by the support and facilities we have here at the Frimley Centre and as a result we have been invited to represent other local Mencap Partners in the South East. We will attend a series of meetings with other partners very soon!
