We are incredibly proud to unveil a range of modern, fully accessible facilities that support inclusion, creativity, and independence for all. These include a brand-new, fully accessible performing arts studio designed to encourage confidence and self-expression, and a multi-surface training kitchen where service users can develop valuable life skills in a safe, supportive environment. Our newly refurbished classrooms offer flexible, engaging spaces for learning and social connection.
-
A key part of this transformation is our new lift and bridge, which now link the two main areas of the building—providing seamless, level access throughout the site and ensuring everyone can move freely and safely. Outdoors, an accessible garden and patio area offer peaceful, sensory-friendly spaces to relax, socialise, and enjoy nature.
-
We’re also proud to have installed a fully compliant Changing Places toilet, providing high-quality, dignified toilet and changing facilities for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities or other physical disabilities. This is a vital addition to our inclusive environment and one that supports our ongoing commitment to accessibility and equality.

Building Frimley’s Bigger Future is more than just a building project—it’s a reflection of our values and vision. This milestone marks an exciting new chapter in the life of Hastings and Bexhill Mencap, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
