Looking for a welcoming and accessible space to host your next activity, class, or community event? Hastings and Bexhill Mencap is proud to offer brand-new, accessible event spaces. Whether you're running a regular group, a one-off session, or a creative workshop, our venue is the perfect setting.
Our available spaces
Performing arts studio
Ideal for dance, drama, or movement-based sessions. Fitted with a sprung floor, black-out acoustic curtains and projecting wall, this multi-functional performance/rehearsal is perfect for dance, yoga, performance based groups.
Main hall
A versatile space suitable for larger meetings, social events and support groups. The space features access to the patio area via bi-folding doors. The hall has sound-absorbing partition panels to create two separate spaces if needed. Two wheelchair-accessible toilets serve this space which is situated on the ground floor. Access is via automatic doors. Our large kitchen features multi-height worksurfaces and a wide serving hatch into the main hall. Kitchen hire is separate and negotiable upon enquiry.
Visual arts studio
Perfect for art workshops, crafts, and smaller creative gatherings. You can see here that our accessible art studio is used with our day services, but is available for weekend hire. The space would suit art or craft groups and children’s activities and seats 10-12 with ease. The room has it’s own art sinks.
Each space is designed to be accessible and community-friendly, offering flexibility and a comfortable environment for a wide range of activities. Groups using the space on a Saturday will have the benefit of our Community Cafe. Fresh coffee and refreshments are served from 9am - 3pm.
Spaces are available by the hour.
By hiring a space, you’re also helping to support the ongoing work of Hastings and Bexhill Mencap , a local charity committed to individuals with learning disabilities.

All hirers are required to have their own public liability insurance.
